I can confidently say that I'm a very open, friendly person. I want people to feel comfortable around me, and I like hearing about different experiences. I always try to find a positive in any negative situation... but not in that annoying, overly Ms. Sunshine-y way, I promise! :) I've always been a very ambitious person who enjoys learning and finding new adventures. Sometimes that means visiting somewhere new, taking a class, or picking up a new hobby - there are a lot of routines in my life with work and responsibilities, but I enjoy breaking out of that when I can. On my free days, I go to a lot of comedy clubs, travel, or stay home and sip on warm, delicious coffee. Right now I'm taking improv classes and performing the odd joke from time to time. Even though I've never been much of an attention seeking person, but I think it's important to have a creative outlet. Coloring books just aren't doing it for me anymore...
There's something about me - maybe my small, blondishness - that makes people think I'm shy or conservative. Maybe it's because I used to be a teacher and I had mastered a "that's not funny" look when kids did something inappropriate (although secretly, I wanted to give them a high-five). I've gotten that comment once or twice and am always surprised. I can be quiet sometimes, but not shy. I actually want a partner who challenges me (not all the time, that'd be exhausting), but someone who makes me want to continue to better my life, see a fresh perspective, someone who doesn't just want to watch tv every night. I like a good debate and intelligent discussion, so please don't hide your opinions - I might not agree, but I promise I won't wilt.
There are a lot of qualities I hope to find... I am looking for a loving partner who makes me laugh, who is ambitious, who is trustworthy, and who treats others with respect. It's also important to me that my partner can keep up a friendly conversation in social situations. But most importantly, I come from a family who goes out of their way to take care of each other and would want to have a relationship with someone who is willing to do the same for the people in his life.
