My boss constantly tells me that he hopes the person I end up with falls in love with my humor first before anything else about me. That comment always throws me off because I'm not a comic, but somehow I always seem to make him laugh. I've come to realize that side of me comes out when I feel comfortable, and then apparently, I'm a blast :-)
I'm fairly new to the city. I moved to San Francisco two years ago from Los Angeles where I had lived for the past 12 years. Southern California can be great, but ever since I was a kid, I wanted to live in SF. And when an amazing job offer came my way, I couldn't resist and decided to make the move. So far, no regrets!
The job I accepted is in advertising. It can be consuming, but I love it. For some reason, I thrive on the stress and being busy. And it helps that I work with amazing people who have become my close friends. So being at work, doesn’t always really feel like being at work. And usually there is wine available to help us through the late nights.
To help keep me sane from the crazy work hours, I love to do yoga, run the Lyon Street Stairs and go to the gym. These things help me stay fit, calm, and feeling balanced. I also eat very healthy most of the time so that I can splurge some of the time. Trying a new restaurant, or going back to a favorite, is how my friends and I socialize. We all appreciate a great meal and wine, and now and then will end up somewhere to dance. Dancing is good for the soul, especially to 80s music :-)
Family is also good for my soul. I come from a very, very large family. My father is from a family of 8 kids, so I have more cousins and second cousins than I ever could have imagined. We are all extremely close, and spend most holidays together. That's about 50 people and that equals lots of food, wine, and so much talking and laughter. I can't imagine life without them. They are all amazing!
I would love to meet someone to share my life with. I am a romantic. Not because I can be a sucker for love stories, but because I like the idea of being with someone who gives me unconditional love, and knows me better than anyone else in the world. He can easily make me laugh, makes me feel like I can be myself, challenges me and enjoys my very large, fun family. He understands the importance of living a healthy lifestyle, yet enjoys going out and doesn’t mind the spontaneous dance party. He likes to hang out with groups of people, but knows when it's best to have quality time alone with just the two of us. He takes initiative to plan dates. And he likes affection, lots and lots of affection and intimacy.
There is so much learning in life whether it's fun and adventurous or even sad and emotional. I would love to start sharing these experiences with someone!
