I guess I have the best of all worlds. I can honestly call myself a Texan, a New Yorker, and a Californian. What would the Beach Boys say? I am currently living in New York but I would say I am a composite of all three places. I have a secret cowgirl inside me who loves horses. I love dogs and cats as well, and always get a little choked up when I visit pet stores. No joke, if I see a PetCo or adoption center I must go in and see all of the animals! That includes the fish, snakes, parakeets, kitties, bunnies, puppies and any other odd creature you can find. Which reminds me, spay and neuter your pets people!
I always had a wanderlust and decided to check out California. I went to UCLA and lived on wheat germ and alfalfa sprouts for four years. Just kidding. My affinity for avocados and strawberries had been multiplied by a thousand during my tenure. There I learned to love sports- mostly college football and basketball. I'm not a big NBA fan but I don't mind watching NFL games... especially when beer is involved. Overall, college sports were a lot different from the soccer I played in high school in Texas. More people painting their faces blue and gold I guess at UCLA. They didn't have undie runs in high school either... Don't you love crazy college traditions?
After college, I followed my dream and went to the Big Apple. It was like a dream come true. There I could explore all of my Italian ancestors' dreams by becoming an excellent Italian cook. Ahh baked clams Oreganata, how I love thee. I could also indulge my sense of fashion by checking out Fifth Ave, Bloomingdale's etc. and sneak into fashion shows during Fashion Week. Someday I may buy something from a show but I might have to contract my first born. I forgot to mention even though I am not as tight as my father, it still has to be a good deal. I'm big on bargain hunting.
I am fun loving, love to laugh and enjoy a good bottle of wine plus a good Friends marathon. Yes, I love Friends and there's nothing you can say or do that will change my mind. There's nothing wrong with watching a show that makes you laugh and smile! If it helps, I also love Family Guy, Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire and Sex and the City (you knew that was coming). I also love cooking and trying new restaurants. New York City is the perfect place for me to combine those two passions.
I like a fireplace and a fire pit but not fire ants (that's the Texan in me again). I enjoy art, am a little corny when it comes to Harry Potter and dragons and stuff and am secretly hoping to spot a unicorn one day. My inner child can dream. I like happily ever afters, snowball fights, and all things Christmas: parties, lights, carols, cookies and movies. I love old movies, knights in white armor, kissing in the rain, red rose surprises, laughing till I can't breathe and paying it forward. I'm looking for someone who has a joie de vie like me who is interested in dating. I love challenges but don't make it too hard. So go ahead; wink at me. You know you want to.
