This is a pretty broad response and tough to define exactly what I am looking for. As I am a traditionalist at heart, I honestly always believed in meeting people through others or by chance. (i.e. the old school way before soical networking). However, I'm always up for taking chances and believe you need too in life, so I wanted to give this a try. Living in a big city, it's very easy to meet people, However, I wanted to broaden that reach and see what the online dating world has to offer.
A little bit about myself...I am very open minded and am always interested and open to meeting many different types of people. I am very passionate about everything in my life... family is # 1 and always will be. Living a bit of a distance away from my immediate family (I moved from PA to NJ about 7 years ago, but am only about 2 hours away) has really made my friends where I am now my "other" family. I find it extremely easy to get along with everyone I meet, and would definitely be defined by my friends as very outgoing and spontaneous. I am always the one that will be there for everyone, because I'd hope the same in reverse situations. I love my friends to pieces and spend a lot of time with them. I do however miss home a lot and when I go back, I fall back in love with my hometown all over again when I arrive... just like when I come back here to NYC and see the skyline.... both cities have my heart.
I would describe myself with having a "work hard / play hard" mentality. I put a huge focus on work, but really make my health, family, friends just as much of a priority. In my free time, I enjoy running, trying new restaurants, exploring NYC, going out with friends, going out to dinner, and really just being around people. I am not too much of a traveler, but try to plan vacations when I can. I love going to the shore, and spend almost every weekend down there in the summer. My biggest passion by far is running though... It's my daily thing to do and I love signing up for races in cities I love.
I am really just looking for someone genuine... someone who I can laugh with (I am very sarcastic so I like a good sense of humor), and be friends with. I'm very open hearted and honesty is definitely the most important quality, as well as being serious yet carefree while knowing the balance between them both.
