(Brett's description of herself didn't do her justice. I wrote this for her, and am ever so glad that I could convince her to post it. -- Kelly, who has known Brett since she was 11.)
Brett loves to live life. She is the one I call when I want to do something spontaneous (our latest was a random river rafting trip), and together we try new things, repeat old favorites and constantly laugh. She is my adventurer friend, the world traveler, and I love seeing her new photographs after each trip. Her artistic sense carries through to how she sees the world. Brett was/is an awesome athlete who also happens to paint beautiful portraits. She makes athletic shorts and sweatshirts look glamorous.
Also, the important things: She loves dark chocolate and farmers markets. She recently decided to learn how to surf. I think she's going to be an amazing doctor one day. She is one to appreciate the little things in life - the view at Half Moon Bay, or a ripe avocado. Brett also wants to make the world a better place, in big and little ways. Her compassion and kindness are evident to everyone who is lucky enough to meet her.
Brett would probably want someone who lives an active lifestyle, is family/friend-oriented, funny, smart, outdoorsy, and passionate about his interests.
P.S. Brett is a bit of a goofball.
