I think it was Jung who said something like, "The slipper that fits one pinches another," and I am here because I'd like to break out of my work circle and meet some new and exciting people. Many people surrounding me have the same "style" of life. I have some great friends but almost all of them are married or in committed relationships.
About me? I can honestly say I love my job. It fulfills me and gives me a chance to learn something new every day. I'm pretty easy-going and non-confrontational, but I am always honest, even if it will bring on a conflict. I have that "traditional" guy side, but a romantic side, too. I like The Matrix and Hugh Grant movies. I love making a woman smile, catching her off-guard with a thoughtful gesture and seeing her light up from inside out. I have the greatest family in the world and miss them very much. They are back in Florida, and all hate to fly, but they'll drive up here to see me, and I'll see them whenever I can. Thank goodness I didn't inherit that fear of flying as I love to travel and am glad I have a job that gives me that chance. I basically have every other week off! I try to be healthy and physically fit (but I don't eat very healthy). I have immense respect for people who run marathons but don't like the "26.2" stickers they put on their cars. I think running is torture but I do it anyway because it keeps me in shape.I used to cycle but got "bumped" by a few too many cars, so mostly replaced that with road biking and whitewater kayaking.. much safer.
I enjoy the company of a girl who is outgoing and spontaneous, not shy. But also a girl who has a strong sense of family and family tradition. Ideally she would laugh at herself (often) and have a fun but healthy lifestyle. And it's great if she likes different things because I love to learn! I think that's the secret of a great, lasting relationship; to spend time with someone who can always teach you new perspectives on life.
