In a nutshell: I'm 30, born & raised in Texas, and recently returning after having been gone for several years. I spent the last 4 years in the California bay area, and the 3 before that in DC. This is the first time I've lived in Houston... so far, so good. I've been practicing law for about 5 years, but I definitely don't define myself by my career. I consider myself an easy-going kind of chick - 100% girly-girl, but pretty low-maintenance. I don't take myself too seriously, I love anything/anybody that can make me laugh, and I can have a good time doing just about anything if the company is good. Friends and family are everything, and I have a ridiculous bunch of nieces and nephews that I absolutely adore. I love corny arts crafts projects, boxing, happy hour with friends, live music, trying out new recipes, MMA, Dwele, Rockets games, pretty much any TV show that comes on Investigation Discovery, weekends in Vegas, and (good) surprises. As men go, I don't have a particular "type." I look for all of the usual stuff - intelligent, a sense of humor that meshes well with my own, respectful, down to earth, a good communicator, emotionally healthy, etc. What you do for a living and/or how much you make is unimportant, so long as you're responsible, ambitious, and confident in who you are. More than anything else, I admire reliability - I *love* a man who does exactly what he says he's going to do. If you're just collecting numbers or looking for a text buddy, we probably aren't a good match. I'm not looking to dive headfirst into anything, but I would like to meet someone who is open to the possibility of something meaningful.
