I live in Westwood now. FYI as an update i'm relatively reluctant to use match at this point. Not that I'm afraid of it, I've met and dated some off it in the past but focused on life right now. If my profile is up it's probably for a limited time. In the past year I've been living in NYC, DC, and LA. Grew up in Chicago, LA, Philadelphia, and DC and then lived in CT, SF, NYC, PA, NYC, LA, and SA since college and until the recent part. I like to explore. But I also enjoy the good things I've found.
In a relationship with a person (male/female/etc.) I could be looking for a lot of different things. I have lots of people I like spending time with offering different values. But I do enjoy wit. It adds a lot to whatever you're doing, whether it's being together at a friend's birthday party or going for a walk. I think this column has the potential to come out in extremely different ways depending on when I happened to write it, but that would always be the same.
On me I'd consider myself originally from Virginia. I'm a vegetarian. I went to college, grad school, and was in a PhD program all at ivy league schools. I also played Division I sports in college and in the sport I played was my college's first Academic All-American. I'm in good shape, workout some still. But that's not what matters, when people tell my niece "she's pretty" I tell her to tell them she's "smart", which characterizes my view.
I like places or activities where you feel something more than where you do something. It could be talking with friends where you know everybody gets each other or going to a beach near malibu (and seeing dolphins play in the waves).
Even better what I'd hope to find is something where what makes those events special and defines them is the person you're with.
(Also no need for winks / emails. I'm not always checking this despite that last logged in section and even when I am checking I'm running around for work sometimes. But I definitely do go through the who's viewed me section on occasion)
