I recently moved back to DC from Baltimore and am glad to be in a city with bike lanes and urban parks again. I moved to Bloomingdale because it feels less transient than other parts of DC and reminded me of the best parts of Charm City, with its stoop-sitters and neighborhood bars. I'm a fan of farmer's markets, thrift stores, and craft beers but I haven't put a bird on everything. I like a balance of indie folk music and top 40 dance parties, movies at E Street, and the occasional rose ceremony. I recently started a job as a nurse on a women's health unit at a hospital in the district. I took the scenic path to find this career but don't regret the meandering road, which included a first undergrad degree in environmental science, two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in West Africa, and nonprofit cube work at global health NGOs in DC. I'm hoping to meet someone who's laid back, has a good work-life balance, and is generally a happy person. Bonus points if you like the outdoors. Let me know if you're up for a coffee, a beer, or a bike ride!
