Picture Suzy Homemaker meets Madonna and you will have a beginning sketch of me. I am free spirited, but yet have roots in the traditional lifestyle. I am a small town girl with many small town beliefs. I insist on cooking home-cooked meals and eating around the dinner table at least once a week to catch up with my children and their busy lives. I grow a small garden in the summer and enjoy nature and the outdoors. The Madonna part is because I don't fit the look of Suzy-homemaker. Unlike Madonna I am not a material girl - in fact I am the furthest from it. Believe it or not I am actually a woman who does NOT like to shop! I believe that you are only as old as you feel and I don't let other peoples opinions or remarks bring me down. I believe one can only be happy if she is being completely herself. We are all unique and wonderful in our own ways.
I am a happy and positive person who believes in strong family ties and honesty. My children are grown now, and I find myself starting a new chapter of my life; one of adventure and harmony. I want to travel across the United States, to visit the Grand Canyon and Native American villages. I always enjoy visits to the beach, where I find the sounds of the ocean waves calming and peaceful, yet invigorating.
I enjoy art, music and charitable events. I love modern art and classics. I attend all the local art shows to support local artists and their efforts. I try to catch live music performances virtually every weekend. I lean towards classic rock, blues and R and B. I believe music heals the soul and inspires us.
I am looking for someone who is happy, confident and has a great sense of humor. Someone who enjoys a night out on the town one weekend, a trip through wine country the next, and then a quiet weekend at home with a good movie.
