I am originally from the Bay Area but moved to Alabama back in 2007 and resided there for almost 6 years. I relocated back to the bay area due to job transfer as of January 2013. And yes, my requirement is simple: I work hard therefore, you must be hard-working as well and NICE. :-)
The time that I have spent in the south have taught me so much, (a whole lot) about myself. It gave me different perspective on certain values. I have learned the essence and the importance of family structure. I have learned to slow down, give back to the community, extend a helping hand and to be TRULY humble. I have learned simplicity is beauty. Laughter with friends is sometimes more rewarding than waking up the next day not hardly remembering what had happened the night before. Not to say that I don't go out but I now know how to put limitation to things like this.
I have acquired some Southern Belle traditions but I've never lost values of my native traditions from the Philippines either. ( A mix of Southern Belle and Filipina- let your imagination do the work). I speak in business lingo during the week when I'm facing clients but I'm also the type of girl that will run barefoot outside and is not afraid to get silly.
I am a mom to a six-year-old boy and VERY proud of it. My son is my TOP priority. As of right now, he lives in Alabama with his dad (who is an attorney) and step-mom (who is also a hard-working professional) whom I completely trust and have a GREAT relationship with. It's hard being away from him but I do visit him each month. My son is a well-adjusted, smart and funny kid and is also my pride and joy.
What I am looking for? First, I think connection is important between two people. Someone who takes care of himself. Stay fit, dresses well, will try anything new once, classy, hard working, someone who thrives to be better. Someone that can LEAD. I am not looking to just follow and I think as a man, it is important to be the pillar of your household. Someone who respects women. Being a GREAT communicator is a plus. I am not looking for my carbon copy but rather someone who will compliment me. And if you're an "in charge" kind of guy- huge bonus!
My BUCKET list of things I want to do: Travel to middle east, go to Germany and drive on the Autobahn, go to africa and learn the tribal dance, sky dive, experience a hot air balloon, helicopter tour in any major city, have coffee and croissant in Paris, see Armin Van Buren in concert, mingle with the native in India, have a good Irish beer in Ireland and learn one new language. Pretty intense?
