If I picked you to message, I'm not trying to go on a date with you. I am very much interested in settling down (when it's time), but I am incredibly choosy and not interested in deciding who I'm going to spend my life with based on what you said about yourself on an online dating site.
So, if I messaged you, I think you are probably not a flake, and I might be interested in being your friend. I have an awesome, kickass group of friends (guys and girls), and if you are cool and courteous and fun to be around, then we might like to hang out with you. Finding real, legit friends who care about real things can be hard in LA. We are normal people who do all sorts of fun stuff.
If something develops from that, great, but don't count on it. This has to be the genuine article, friends first.
