Life is short and I like my life the way it is.....uncomplicated. I don't do drama. I'm very outgoing and can make friends anywhere. I like genuine people who are fun and not controlling. I would never try to change anyone and don't plan on anyone changing me. I'm a very honest person and expect the same from everyone I know.
I hate having my picture taken and will duck or run - therefore most of the pictures are when I don't know they're being taken. When I know they're coming, they look like a mugshot - no joy there!
I like to do many things....and nothing. I love crowds, quiet places, live music, movies, the beach, parks, the river or just staying home with my dogs and the tv. I have made really great friends with people in front (or behind) me in a long line. I try to make the most out of any situation and believe that being nice is free- so we all should make an effort. I'm most always in a good mood or at least trying to find a bright side.
My friends and coworkers think I'm funny and a "free spirit" (whatever that means). I believe in having fun, being kind and trying to help others when I can. My favorite thing is to crack a joke in a tense situation. Some people probably hate that :)
I have a very laid back personality and like to go with the flow. I'm a night owl for the most part = not a really great morning person. It's not that I don't like morning, I just like for it to start slowly. I'm addicted to coffee. It's my best friend and I drink it all day and into the night. Also, dark chocolate is becoming a fast favorite. I'm very self sufficient, reliable and loyal to my friends, family and beliefs.
I'm a proud and skilled gun owner and I don't get into debates about that! I can be friends with people that disagree with me on many things - I just refrain from conversations with them on the subject.
What am I looking for? A friend first. Someone to hang out with that is real, with no expectations. I'm not looking for a relationship to jump into immediately. If friendship leads there, then that's great. If not, friends are great too.
My kids are grown now, and are by best friends (2). My son has a baby boy that I refer to as "My Baby" and he could very well be the true love of my life. Fortunately for me, he lives about 1 mile away and has a room at my house for when I want to steal him!
Ok, so that's a plenty of yaking about me (I met my minimum and who really likes talking about themselves anyway?). If you want to know more, just ask. I'm probably the easiest person to talk to that you'll ever meet.
