Let's start with what I'm looking for... first and foremost a sense of humor. Secondly, seeing life as half full rather than half empty is a must, no self pity or drama queens need to apply. Finally, intelligence is a very sexy quality. Be familiar with your surroundings, current events, and if you possess a little sarcasm that's a plus in my book. Not a rule but rather a preference, I prefer women without tattoos because too many have this “check-me-out” attitude.
What about me? Someone just commented that I looked 32 years old. I don’t know about that, I think she was just being kind. You be the judge, the pictures are fairly recent. I do feel young at heart but it’s time to grow up and settle down. I don’t want to sound like a cliche by saying I love traveling and have a sense of humor or that I’m loyal and honest. In my opinion these are the minimum requirements. I don’t try to be different but I try to be an individual meaning I have strong beliefs of what I feel is morally right and wrong. I respect my elders and believe in women and children first.
I’m a very active person. I love skiing and hiking because it gives me access to the mountains. I scuba dive because I wanted to see what’s beneath the water. I love the peace and serenity of camping under the stars or kayaking on a smooth glassy ocean. I also love going for a run in my neighborhood along the water.
I work in the IT field but the only techie device I own is my GPS. I enjoy cooking with ambitions to open my own place when I retire. I donate to the National Parks and to the Brooklyn Public Library. I recycle, take the LIRR to work, and bring my own shopping bag to the grocery store. I have a thirst for knowledge and always looking to learn new things whether it be taking a cooking class or learning CPR.
