I do realize that not everyone will like reading what follows. I believe you can't be blunt enough on a dating website. If I thought dating was a quantity, rather than a quality experience I would have had a more "standard" essay. But I do not, so here it is:
I am a motivated and ambitious person. I have various interests and endless curiosity. I am not limited to one kind of activity and I am looking for someone who is a wholesome person too.
But most importantly I am looking for a confident partner. I am not needy - I have been single for a long time and I am happy with my life. I am looking for a person who wants me more than he needs me.
I believe that words do not mean anything (with the exception of verbal abuse), it is the behavior that matters. If you are ambitious, motivated person, have dreams and goals, care for other humans and are not inappropriately emotionally demanding, if you don't need constant approval to feel good about yourself, then consider writing me.
I am looking for a guy with whom we can be a team. I will make your dreams mine and expect the same of you. If you have emotional baggage - please don't contact me - we all have had bad things happen to us like heartbreaks and other losses. If you have not been able to recover - call a shrink, not me. Important is not what happens to us in life but how we deal with it.
I am also looking for a partner that knows what they want out of life. One of the most difficult things is to be able to see yourself in the future, to picture what you want your life to be like. I like working hard and playing hard. I think life is about balance - between two partners, between work and fun, etc. I spend my free time trying to stay in shape, skiing, hiking, riding my bike, dancing, cooking. I enjoy great conversations, books, movies, theater, opera, art exhibits. I keep in touch with my friends and family. I think people are the most important thing we have in life.
