2012 is my year to make things happen!
I am a career focused, single mom. My main job is teaching elementary music. I love being able to spend time shaping the minds of children and opening their hearts and minds to music. Three nights a week I wait tables at a small Mexican restaurant. I find it very therapeutic to serve others and get some great exercise walking for three to four hours per time.
I've been told I am really old fashioned because I don't like making the first move. I just feel that if I want respect from a man I won't come across as easy or fast. That is just something I won't do. I'm also quiet and reserved until I'm comfortable around others. Once I get to know someone though, I really open up and come out of my shell.
I try to spend as much of my extra time as I can with my son. We enjoy doing lots of different things. I've recently started taking him with me to the gym and finding opportunities for us to workout together. I like to try to plan at least one outing a month for us when possible. He is the number one person in my life.
I am looking for a friend first and foremost. I'm not here to find a quickie, I can do that just fine without paying for a website to do it for me. I'm looking for someone I can talk to and enjoy being around. I'm looking for someone mature, someone who doesn't take a female friend for granted. The hopeless romantic in me wants to fall in love with my best friend, someone I work well with and play well with.
