I recently moved to New York from Southern California. I'm in my final year of medical school, focusing mostly on research now, while thoroughly enjoying my new found free time and loving the city so far. I've always chosen to live my life to the fullest and definitely continue to maintain a good balance between work and play.
I'm looking to finally find the one for me with a special something. At this point I know exactly what that something is, just haven't yet found this combination... Someone who shares certain qualities in common with me: bright, thoughtful, athletic, optimistic, well-educated, family-oriented, confident and secure, unassuming, self-motivated, ambitious, fun to be around, with a good sense of humor; And someone who enjoys similar activities: staying active, a healthy lifestyle, parties with good friends, going out to concerts, comedy clubs, and restaurants, playing and watching sports, traveling (esp to sunny spots), skiing/snowboarding, water sports, and often just relaxing at home with a good show. I love some healthy competition - I'll challenge you to a round of tennis or mini golf, a feisty game of cards, you name it!
Importantly, you can laugh at yourself, aren't TOO high strung, at least outside of work, and aim to be an awesome father one day.
Bonus points if you like dogs. Mine will hate you whoever you are for the first 5 minutes but then will be glued to your body as your new best friend, if you will have him. Double bonus points if you are good at killing spiders.
I have a close family and am fortunate that my sister and all my grandparents live in the city so I get to see much more of them now. My brother met his wife online, and 2 beautiful nieces later, it's plain to see that this unconventional forum may not be so ridiculous after all. I plan to stay in NY for the next many years and look forward to meeting my match and making this (freezing cold) city feel like home!
