Born and raised in beautiful California (albeit amidst the cows and orange groves of the Central Valley). Went to undergrad in the Midwest, grad school in NYC, and lived in Manhattan for the past seven years before finally making my way back to the the West Coast. I do miss the NYC energy, but I definitely appreciate the near-perfect SoCal weather and the outside fun it allows.
I love the outdoors (hiking, running), road trip adventures (travel in general), being spontaneous, wine tasting, stand-up comedy, reading (kind of a fiend), watching college football, being an aunt, and having a great motley group of friends. I love being around people and find that I get along best with those who are smart, witty, nice, easy-going but ambitious, and don't take themselves too seriously.
Family is incredibly important to me. I have two older brothers with whom I'm really close, and my parents are probably two of the most positive, supportive people around (and they're fun--WHAAT?!). They've been married for almost 40 years now and serve as a pretty good model of what I'm looking for in a relationship--trust, communication, respect, commitment, and FUN. Be considerate of each other--it's as simple as that.
Side note: I don't love parallel parking or cats. Guilty pleasures: Youtube videos of people falling down and Comedy Central Roasts. I know.
