I'm an easy going guy, who moved back to the bay area just over a year ago. Prior to that, I was living on the east coast and returned after finishing graduate school.
I'm a total foodie. While I may not eat a ton, going out to try new restaurants is definitely a favorite activity of mine. And I can try different types of ethnic foods with the best of 'em. When I travel, I usually plan my trip around certain restaurants that I must hit. I've heard the phrase "the way to the heart is through the stomach" - definitely the case for me.
I enjoy laughing, and laughing a lot - the kind of laugh that comes from deep in the stomach (and makes your lungs hurt). Music is something I react to, and can totally change my mood (a good song can turn a tough day around quickly). If I find a good album that I like, I can sit back and get lost in it for hours.
Traveling is another important pastime for me - I really love to travel. If it's a long weekend then destinations like Carmel and Big Sur are great. If I can wrangle off more time, then an international trip is always in the cards. Over the years, I've spent a lot of time living abroad in Europe and Asia.
My friends and family are an extremely important part of my life, and I deeply value spending time with them. I'm very close with my brother, who always inspires me with his approach of enjoying life, which is something I'm aspiring to do on a daily basis.
As far as what I'm looking for: someone who likes to laugh, enjoys great meals, and engages in conversation are all characteristics that I really appreciate in a partner. I'm an extremely loyal and supportive person, so I would look for those attributes to be reciprocated. I'd hope to find someone adventurous and spontaneous too - someone who enjoys getting lost in a new country from time to time.
