Well, I have a great group of friends and a wonderful family. I have true, close friends that I've met at all phases of life, dating back to the bus in elementary school. I think they'd all describe me as warm, loyal, funny and generous. I love to make people laugh. I enjoy traveling -- I just visited Oregon for the first time and loved it. I like spending time outdoors, trying new restaurants, artistic endeavors (I do some oil painting in my spare time), going to ball games or concerts. I won't bolt for the hills at a party or cocktail hour where I don't know anyone - I truly enjoy meeting new people. I also do some volunteering at a nursing home and love getting to know the residents and hearing their stories. I recently moved back to the northern NJ area, after several years in Washington, DC. Career-wise my background is public affairs and newspaper journalism - I covered U.S. Congress/politics for a while.
As for what I'm looking for.....Well, I'm generally happy in life (long DMV lines and telemarketing calls do put that to the test) but I'd like to find a partner and best friend to share life with. Someone who is kind, intelligent, has a good sense of humor, is also looking for his best friend/partner, and has a faith in God. Someone who knows who he is, but can enjoy the company of a variety of people. In the end, I think you just know when you connect with someone and there's that potential for something great.
