OK, so a little about me: I'm from the west and I work in politics. I went to graduate school in England and studied Science Policy. I thoroughly enjoy what I do professionally and I generally don't talk about work outside of work, unless I'm with colleagues.
As for my personal life, I spend a lot of time with friends – mostly meeting for drinks, brunch, dinner, or movies. While I love to work in DC, I have a lot of friends in Baltimore and have been spending more time there. I take the opportunity to get away as much as possible and love to head out to West Virginia for hiking and kayaking. I also love almost anything that includes being out on the water -- rivers, lakes, whatever.
More random facts: I went to New England prep school and then a big party school in the Southwest for college. I keep the number for the Homeless DC Hypothermia Hotline in my phone in case I see someone who doesn't have a bed on a freezing night in winter. I love podcasts – especially Marc Maron’s WTF. Breakfast is my favorite meal!
I'd love to meet someone who wants to travel both domestically and internationally. It would be handy if he speaks French since I keep going to Northern Africa where that would nicely augment/be far more useful(!) than my Spanish skills.
More on what I'm looking for: I like a guy who is confident, funny, and social. Good hygiene is always a good idea. I also dig hobbies, like sailing, and someone who isn't afraid to try new things!
