I will make you laugh…even if I have to joke about myself to do it. On paper, I am a successful, driven, well-educated finance guy. But if you’re still awake, I don’t take myself too seriously. I would rather cut my own grass than have someone else do it…then I’ll be hanging out with the other landscapers after work….that’s more me.
I work hard, play hard, make my own fun and doggonit people like me. When work is going well, I've been known to dance around the room and blast an inappropriate instant message or two to my friends. When it's not going well I might be hiding under my desk. Often times that happens during the same day. Physically, I stay pretty active…I’m usually running, lifting weights, playing squash or taking a boxing class. I suck at golf, but if I was good at everything then that wouldn't be fair to the rest of the guys on this site.
I’m interested in a lot of different things…current events, sports, history. My inner nerd is strong to quite strong...if we meet I'm sorry but he is part of the package. If I’m hanging out with my friends, we’re probably watching the game or playing poker, but if I’m by myself I might be reading an autobiography or watching a weird history channel marathon. I like to laugh, I’m convinced i can talk to anyone (try me), and I’m never afraid to try something new. I can still shotgun a beer in under seven seconds but I only whip that out for special occasions.
I’m from Boston and went to college in North Carolina. I’ve lived here for seven years so of course I’ve grown to love it here. Where else can you see a play, eat a great steak, meet all sorts of people, and sing karaoke at 2 AM all in the same night?
The simplest things make me laugh. A friend’s joke, most things kids do and say, people who run from the rain like they've never seen rain before, stupid movies like Dumb and Dumber.
I appreciate a good martini. A good date would involve a martini, talking, getting to know each other. Its truly not about where we are. If I'm attracted to you and like hanging out with you, we can go to your favorite paint drying exhibit and I'll be happy.
A good match for me would be someone who is caring, smart, driven, confident and has a good sense of humor. Someone who can challenge me. Importantly, you can’t be afraid to let your hair down and have fun!
