What can be missing? YOU! Living in Seattle (I moved here 10 years ago) with great work and adult sons who are happy and living independently should be enough. Many days it is. But what I really seek and hope to find is a special friend, companion, and soul mate, to share my day-everyday and the rest of my life. I don't know how you define "soul mate" but I know how it can feel-a feeling deep inside and the knowledge that I am incredibly fortunate to have you in my life. That look in your eyes when you come home, I have dinner waiting for you after a hot shower and we both know that we are the luckiest people on earth because somehow we've found each other.
I've lived in and enjoyed many places including Alaska, Nigeria, Iran and London. I love to travel (sons live in Anchorage and Newfoundland and daughter-in-law from Cambodia), am a great listener and I think you'll find me eager to be more interested in you than interesting to you. But I never shy from a good debate if the situation warrants. I enjoy the out doors; X-country skiing in the winter and kayaking (I recently learned to surf kayak a real thrill) and sailing aboard my 46 foot Ketch in the summer (I sailed from Alaska to Cape Horn and back with my sons during a two-year sabbatical). A trip south to practice Spanish, kayak, snorkel/scuba dive or just relax should be part of every winter. Quiet nights indoors at home are great too. How about I (or we if you prefer) cook dinner (I like all cuisine particularly middle east, Thai, Indian-I'm a pretty good cook), you pick the wine?
Common interests are important but not the point, not my aim. I am seeking and will continue to settle for nothing less than the relationship about which we both dream. Founded on friendship, respect, sharing good times and common interests but leading to a love, connection and transcendent bond that will survive “ruin or rapture.” I will be there for you, you can depend on me and I will not let you down. If you are ONLY looking for a friend and playmate, I am not your man. I seek much more than that because I am fully capable of giving much more than that. No "games" here. I am the real deal if you are truly seeking an awesome relationship.
I want to share my time, my experience, and my love with a special person who feels about me the way I do about her. We are happy alone but would much rather be with each other than anyone else. Too much to ask? I can dream and am both ready and willing to make that dream our reality.
Let's seize OUR day, keep it simple-there is elegance in simplicity- but just not ordinary.. PLEASE NO WINKS, I WILL NOT RESPOND TO WINKS.
