i hate the mushy part on the inside of tomatoes, i hate golf umbrellas on the streets of nyc, i hate sending my clothes to the cleaners and getting them back with new stains, i hate kitten calendars. haha....kidding (kind of). oh, and self-portraits taken in a mirror (sorry, but if i see one of these in your profile i am most likely hitting the "next option). now that you know all of my dislikes, here's a little more about me: laid-back (but motivated both professionally and personally), fun, thoughtful, drama-free, independent, good sense of humor, and if you don't speak sarcasm then we probably wouldn't hit it off.
i grew up in a small town in upstate NY surrounded by a loving family. my parents and grandparents have set wonderful examples of lasting relationships. i feel extremely lucky to have a family that has always supported me, and encouraged me to be independent.
i wasn't thrilled by the idea of creating a profile about myself and giving this a go, but i have a close friend who met their wonderful significant other on match (and they're both normal!) so, that has helped give me a push in this direction.
i could make a list of the attributes i hope you have, but at the end of the day it all boils down to having a good heart. this is a must.

tv: friday night lights (shed a tear when it ended), shark week, family guy, dexter, game of thrones, homeland (although toward the end of this season carrie's character started to irritate me :)), walking dead, girls, american horror story, the league, always sunny, seinfeld, boardwalk empire
music: love old and new: ra ra riot, deer tick, talking heads/david byrne, otis redding, florence the machine, middle brother, the lumineers, stevie nicks/fleetwood mac, ryan adams, phil collins, alabama shakes, aretha franklin, dan auerbach, hall oates, david bowie, elvis (my morning jacket does an amazing cover of suspicious minds), the duke the king, macklemore, lana del rey, michael jackson, pearl jam, smokey robinson. to name a few....
