I was raised in LA from the 1st grade on, but I'm, like, totally not a typical LA dude. Surfing and skiing are not my thing at all, but I do love the amazing natural and cultural riches the city has to offer and am definitely here to stay!
About me:
By day, I'm an investment manager. I'm able to channel my inner math geek and it's a profession where being an (overly?) rational thinker is valued and rewarded.
When my left brain needs a break I love to immerse myself in a great work of art or artistic expression, whether it's Las Meninas or Radiohead. I've been to the Biennale but not Burning Man.
I'm definitely a foodie and am a sucker for any place that makes a memorable whisky cocktail. I'm no food snob, and am as likely to take you to a great pupuseria or soup dumpling joint, so you'd best be up for a little dining adventure. I'm also a pretty mean cook and know my way around a juicer.
Like Steve Martin in LA Story, I have been known to drive my car down the block, but I love to explore the city's beauty on foot just as well. I love the "secret" hiking trail at the top of my street and a jog along the beach at low tide.
I may be an Ivy Leaguer, but I'm not the country club type. Give me a beautiful Saturday and I'll take lounging on the lawn at the Getty over the putting green every time.
I'm a great dad and have 3 daughters who are the loves of my life. I savor every moment they allow me to spend with them because, man, they grow up fast!
About you:
You are self-confident. You know what you want out of life and are either actively realizing it or on the path to getting there. Nothing is sexier than a woman who's comfortable in her own skin! The self-entitled or social climbers need not apply.
I've tried to color within the lines here, but in the end it comes down to chemistry. The kind where your eyes first lock and you know, absolutely, positively, you've got to get to know that person better. It's great that we both share a love of knitting and art house films (OK I only love one of those,) but without chemistry we're never making it past a 2nd date.
