Hi, I'm Allison. I'm not originally from the Akron area but I really like it here. Going to school at The University of Akron brought me to the area. Once I finished school, I got a job here and stuck around. After getting a year of work under my belt and knowing this is where I would like to be, I'd like to meet people in the area.
I work as a statistics teacher and I absolutely love my job. My job is very important to me and I am very passionate about what I do. I can't imagine doing anything else and see myself in this career for awhile.
After living here for awhile I've gotten to know my around well enough, but I still feel like there is some of Akron/Cleveland I haven't seen. I like going to new places and exploring new areas. For fun I like running outside, going to sporting events, concerts, random roadtrips, or just grabbing a coffee/beer. I normally do a few 5k/10k races throughout the year. I'm not fast or competitive, but I really enjoy it and usually try to go running a few times a week. I'm currently training for my second half marathon.
Going out and doing things is nice, but I really like staying in too - between being gone at work and other things, sometimes it's nice to spend time at home. Making dinner and watching a good movie is my kind of night. I like to cook/bake and try new recipes when I have the time. I just find it hard to cook for one.
I would describe myself as independent, driven, sarcastic, and having good values. I find myself laughing a lot. I really think it's the little things in life that make me happy. As for who I'm looking for, the one thing that is important to me is personality/sense of humor. I think I have bit of a sarcastic/smart ass sense of humor and love to joke around. I'm very happy and content in my life right now and just looking for someone in the same place.
