My name is Allen.
I have a positive and outgoing personality. I like to think that I have a good sense of humor ( although I have told my share of groaners :-) ).
I suppose that if you were to ask me what the most important trait that I'm looking for in a woman is, I'd have to say character. When you strip away all of the external trappings, looks, money, etc etc,,,,the soul of a person is what's left. And I'm looking for that special someone whose values, character and moral compass are parallel to mine.
My dad used to tell me that when you get up in the morning and look in the mirror you have to be content with who's looking back. And I am.
I'm pretty active, outrigger canoe racing, the gym, hiking etc etc. So, I'd like to find someone with whom I can share some of these activities.
I love being able to discuss current events, politics, the economy. I try to keep up with the world around us and I think its important and interesting to talk about what's going on in this world of ours.
I have a 22 year old son who is currently living/studying in China. I am so proud of him!!!! He really is a special person. And he makes me so glad I'm his dad!!!
