Hello! - and welcome. I like to travel, snowboard, surf, climb, bike, and scuba dive - to mention just a few.. . I grew up in New Jersey and recently moved out to LA. So far, California seems to have tons to offer - as far as the outdoors is concerned. Exploring new lands is a passion of mine. I recently completed a trip to Nepal, Ethiopia, Sudan, and Rwanda. The Himalayas were simply incredible to hike and climb! And the air was of the cleanest, purest kind in the world. In Africa, following the mighty Nile downstream from Khartoum to Cairo was an amazing journey. Most dangerous moment was probably the day that I mountain-biked past a herd of water buffalo in Kenya. I have posted some pics from the recent trip on this site. Hope you enjoy them. As you can see, I am a big wildlife buff and love to explore remote corners. I have lived overseas before, having spent two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Central Africa where I taught math at a small school. Great experience - the African kids were awesome to teach, But hey, kids are kids! :-) The finer things in life are fun too - a nice dinner, good wine, followed perhaps by a classical concert. Rachmaninov is one of my favorite composers. Other interests include reading, writing and photography. Currently working on some travel narratives that I hope to publish.At the risk of over-simplifying - i'm just looking to meet someone who shares the same basic interests and philosophy; she is not overly addicted to material possessions; not afraid to get her feet wet (if push came to shove); is active, easy-going, intellectual, and down-to-earth. Likes to sometimes just hang out, catch a movie or video, be mellow and enjoy a cool vibe. She has a sense of humor, likes to travel, explore new places, and enjoys the outdoors. We could discuss just about anything - fun, stimulating, intellectual, serious, or just plain silly.
