I grew up in Bend, OR and love being outside and love endurance sports, having competed for most of my life in cycling, running, and cross-country skiing. I moved to Seattle, WA after undergrad, worked for a few years doing biomedical research (yes, nerd alert!), just finished medical school at University of Washington, and am now in the process of moving to Chicago to start residency. My golden rule is to feverishly chase the things you want in life and to live each and every day to its utmost. I absolutely love wine (a dream is to own a winery some day) and of course, food (am ALWAYS on the lookout for new restaurants to try...any suggestions?).
I'm drawn to intelligent, fun-loving people who work hard for what they want, but who don't take themselves too seriously--I daily have to deal with people who think entirely too highly of themselves and who seemingly shun humor. Bonus points given to those who also challenge my perspective.
Who I'm looking for: someone who knows who she is, what she wants in life, and who lives accordingly--simple, right? Also, since I never know when I'll be headed home from the hospital on a given day, flexibility and spontaneity are a definite plus! And while I'm always game for an adventure or trying out a new restaurant, sometimes it's sublime to grab some take-out from a favorite spot, pop open a bottle of red, hop on the couch, and enjoy a movie.
