Hoping for a possible object of total devotion (more or less). And, of course, someone who is a good friend, coversationalist, lover, and robust fellow traveler. She should probably like me back (give or take), and be cute and smart and all that.
I'm a UC philosophy professor (tenured now for awhile), a well-traveled surfer (recent trips include Indonesia and South Africa), and an author of two books (one academic, one popular). Starting a small NGO for an Indonesian villages. Love abstract painting, though I don't make enough time for it.
Went to Harvard for the Ph.D., but glad to be back to the warm and easy So Cal life. (I'm from San Diego originally.)
