So…… I am newly single, so to be honest; I am not really sure about this whole on-line dating thing. But, I am willing to try anything at least once. A couple things about me that you should know for any WOMAN that is interested:
I am not a “serial” dater. I am not looking for one night stands, flings, or fly-by night hookups. I am a relationship type of individual. I am searching for someone to share my life with (the good and bad, and the ups and downs). I am a very LOYAL and monogamous individual. You can have the prettiest “wrapping”, but if you lack substance, conviction, or a backbone, PLEASE STOP READING NOW!
I value honesty! I am extremely honest, probably to a fault. I am a very straight forward and assertive person. Sometimes I can come across brash or insensitive, but that is really not the case. I am a very loving, caring, and compassionate person. I have a good sense of humor, and am often sarcastic (in a good-natured way). To the woman in my life, I am loving, dependable, reliable, and loyal (no exceptions, no ifs-ands-or buts). However, you have to be open to being challenged. If you ask me a question, I am not going to just tell you what you want to hear. I am going to give you my honest opinion (in love) even if it contradicts you (or your thoughts). That’s just who I am. You will have to accept that, just as you will want me to accept you for who you are.
I am very ambitious and self-motivated. I am currently a middle school teacher working with at-risk students in Rialto, CA. Although I am a teacher, I expect to be moving into a principal position in the next several years. That is a new challenge/adventure I can’t wait to embark on. I also work as a part-time professor at CSUF (Sociology Department). As I said, I am very ambitious and self-motivated, that’s why I spent 15 years in college pursuing several graduate degree. Although a large part of me is an intellectual, I am far from being a nerd. Seriously, I’m not a nerd!!! = )
Myself and several colleagues of mine are currently working on opening our own business, so that is now becoming pretty time-consuming. However, this new venture is going to take a while, so I am trying to be patient and let it “come to me”. I am finally at a point in my life where I am letting things come as they may.
I am an avid sports fan. Specifically, I LOVE THE LAKERS (Kobe Bryant) and the CHICAGO BEARS. I try to watch (and when possible go to) as many basketball and football games as I can. I also love to work out. I work out almost every day (doing something). I love to take walks (by myself, but more with someone). I like to sweat!!! I know that sounds weird, but that’s when you know you are really working out! I am also a huge music lover. I listen to music all the time! I love R B and Hip Hop. I tend to like slow love making music that you can just chill, wash dishes, vacuum, and or clean the house to.
I love to talk (in person). I’m not a good “phone-talker” (have to be honest). I can talk about almost anything for extended periods of time. I am searching for a woman that wants to share her life with me (her family, work, personal struggles and accomplishments, or just mundane weird crazy stuff, doesn’t matter to me). I am searching for someone that will tell me what’s truly on their mind regardless of whether or not they think I will like it, just as long as you are honest .
I can’t really say I have a “perfect date” scenario. However, an awesome date would include truly “connecting” with that right woman. If that occurred by us going out to a fancy dinner and dancing, or just watching a movie at my house (while I cooked dinner for us), so be it. I’m a great cook by the way. Maybe we go out bowling and have a blast, or just take a long walk around the beach. Who knows!!! I have found out the hard way that trying to predict or mold life to the way you want it will often lead to disappointment.
