If you know the quote in my headline's source without looking it up, odds are good we'd have fun together. If you know this one (be honest now, without looking it up)-- "HEY! Don't open that! It's an alien planet! Is there air? You don't know! " ...we'd most likely be a good team on game night. (Consequently, this is also the movie I watch after I've just fooled myself into thinking it would be a good idea to watch a horror flick by myself...at night...) This one: "You know, there's like a boat-load of gangs at this school. This one gang kept wanting me to join because I'm pretty good with a bo staff. " ...we'd probably laugh at a lot of the same stupid stuff. This one: "I feel like I've been in a coma for the past twenty years. And I'm just now waking up. " ...Congrats...that is some really good stuff. If you know this one: "I'd ask you about love, you'd probably quote me a sonnet. But you've never looked at a woman and been totally vulnerable. Known someone that could level you with her eyes, feeling like God put an angel on earth just for you. Who could rescue you from the depths of hell." ...Bravo... You win extra bonus points with me! I'm incredibly silly--you know I'm in the room by the laugh. I have some really great people in my little world, a stable foundation, a lot of exciting and creative endeavors, and life is pretty darn fantastic, honestly! Would I love to find someone with whom to share it? You bet. But it's gotta be right...ya know? And when it is...it is…and I am in. I sing in two bands…working up a new set list for a third band, have started writing songs again, and have initiated the process to develop and record demos...VERY exciting! Music is a HUGE part of my life, and anyone who can introduce me to a new artist/band wins major bonus points with me. After running my first 13.1 last year, I'm now training for my first sprint triathlon. Goal is for this spring or summer. Things I love: going to movies on unpopular movie nights, theatre, a good concert, live jazz over amazing cocktails, finding culinary gems and laughing/eating/drinking our way through a night-long journey, getting up on a stage with a mic in front of my face and a killer band behind me and letting it rip, taking a hike in our little Colorado hills, setting the iPod to a running mix and hitting a trail (or treadmill), a good Kundalini Yoga set, traveling and just diving into different places, trying new things with people who are passionate about those things… I've started writing again...more than this bio, that is... I'm trying very hard to learn French: so far, it hurts my brain to count over 70 or to tell time after noon, and forget past and future tenses! ;) I hesitate to say what I'm looking for as lists can be limiting. I've experienced a lot of life already, I'm thankful for all of it, and I've learned a lot about myself and people I love to be around. Energy is everything, and it has to be positive! If you love to laugh so hard your stomach hurts, communicate openly and honestly, are warm and affectionate, are open to trying new things, enjoy the arts/music, love conversation, see food as an experience rather than a necessity, have a passion for, well...something...anything!, really love hugs, really love dogs, are generally happy and glass-half-full, can be silly/ridiculous without being self-conscious, agree that it was a gooooood weekend if it involved at least one wig, have a knack for obscure references, still kinda think ‘That’s what she said’ is funny, can't wait for the NEXT Hobbit movie!, have a soft spot for clumsy chicks ... or some combination of the above...we have a pretty decent chance of getting along. However, when push comes to shove, we'll never know unless we start a conversation. And...why wink, 'like', 'favorite', or any of those things when we could be emailing?
