I'm a pretty progressive mo-fo. In short, I like to create and explore. 'Work hard, play hard' is an overly used but incredibly accurate term to describe me. Here's a little taste of my typical week. One day I'll be researching the internets for my next opportunity, building a new product development plan, designing a campaign for manufacturers or traveling to tech trade shows to find the next story to write about. When it's warm out I'll play some tennis, run, or ride my bike around town. At night I try to find some type of live music and get a Manhattan for my night cap. On the weekends I do it up with some dance parties, riding around with friends, pick-up volleyball games, and hang out with my family. I've never and will probably never have a typical 9-5 job. Sometimes I stay up all night because I'm too excited about projects or am busy packing the work in so I can take it easy while traveling. Right now I'm on tour so to speak for music festivals and tech shows. Austin, Greenville, Atlanta, Savannah, Chicago, NYC, and Pittsburgh to name a few.
Musts: Have a passion for either your work or a hobby, somewhat humorous or have quick wit, enjoy concerts and dancing, like to travel, like bands such as Radiohead, you have been referred to as charming, someone talks about you by saying, 'What a great guy'.
I likes me a guy who is assertive and is seen as compassionate rather than sensitive, who acts like he isn't afraid of anything. Confident but not ego-driven and knows his role as a true, old-fashioned gentleman. Bonus points if you look like you can climb something.
Need not apply if: Not open to trying new things, make a big deal out of the small stuff, have pictures of yourself with shirt up/off/reflecting in a mirror, your username has the words 'raw', 'dawg', or 'juice' in it (kudos to those gentlemen actually, it's pretty funny).
The low down: I am now just getting acclimated to politics, love my family, want to keep my last name (I'm the last of the last), I shop in the men's shoe and tshirt sections, grew up on Seinfeld, think about complicated things but know when to keep it simple, I have a sailor's mouth - perverted humor, I like surprises, I genuinely care about people and like to learn about them, want to learn guitar and secretly wish I was a rockstar, I could eat sushi, BLT's, and my mom's pizza bagels from the WSM everyday. My trunk is filled with a tennis racket, fishing pole, basketball, softball/bat/mitt and a volleyball... just in case, at any given moment, someone wants to play. I watch about 30 hours of TV/movies a year. My goal is to become a snow-bird or live in multiple locations (looking at Austin for wintertime).
My faults: I don't like long phone calls or any drawn out conversation (just get to the point is my reaction), I have a tendency to work too much, I'm a sucker for start-ups, and I just can't get enough cow bell.
