My best days are those when I get to explore, discover new things and learn something I didn’t know before-- especially with someone I care about. I'm happiest when I'm out-and-about doing something and I will try anything once, be spontaneous and can find adventure almost everywhere. I'm also happy with a good meal or beer with friends, or just curling up on the sofa and relaxing with a book or movie. I'm pretty inquisitive, curious, and love experiecing new things, books, ideas and great conversations. My family means more than almost anything, we are very close and talk pretty regularly. They live far away, though, and I don’t see them as much as I’d like—so my friends here have become my LA family. I’m very loyal and committed to them, and would do anything for them. But I'm missing that special person to be a best friend and partner in crime, so I thought I would try out match and see what happens.
I was born and raised in Ohio, and after spending a few years in the South, I moved to LA five years ago. I occasionally miss having seasons, seeing it snow, and tasty gumbo and bbq, but have come to love Southern California and its great weather and sunshine. I live two blocks from the beach, and love the beachy urbanism of my Santa Monica neighborhood. There is so much to do here! I try to bike or walk everywhere and take advantage of all that the city offers. I eat out, visit galleries and museums, attend lectures, go to movies, hang out in dive bars, shop, and just walk down the busy streets or sit in a cafe or in a park and watch the people. I also explore different neighborhoods, try new restaurants, and talk to people who are cool and passionate about things. I like nothing more than to just get lost somewhere new and see what I discover. As much as I enjoy being out and about, I'm also perfectly happy at home and can really enjoy a lazy day doing nothing. I'm a pretty good cook and enjoy trying to learn and get better
Travel is one of my greatest joys, and I've been lucky to go on some incredible trips the last few years. I absolutely love to see new places, experience different cultures, try new foods, and see beautiful parts of the world. I’m also pretty outdoorsy, and try to get on a trail, by the water, to the ski slope, or away from the city whenever I can. I've been a swimmer my whole life, and am happiest when I'm around water-- swimming, sailing, trying to surf, or just sitting on the beach reading a book, playing volleyball, walking or riding bikes. I ski, hike, backpack and get to the mountains whenever I can, too. I love sports, and try to be active and participate in as many as possible. I am still a pretty passionate fan of my pro Cleveland teams, but there nothing better then spending a day at Dodger Stadium or watching college football on TV.
I hope to meet someone who will be my best friend and partner in exploration and adventure. Someone interested in the world around them and committed to making it better. A person who inspires me to go to new places and try new things; and is a wonderful companion and friend no matter what we are doing. A woman who values family and friends; is intelligent, creative, curious, passionate, grounded and realistic; has a career that challenges and fulfills her; and has some direction in life. I hope to find someone who will join me in getting dressed up for a night on the town, lacing up our hiking boots to explore a new trail, strapping on skis for a day on the slopes, jetting around the world to visit ancient temples or a modern city, or curling up on the sofa to watch TV or read. Most importantly, I want to find someone with whom it doesn't really matter what we are doing, since we always have a great time because we're together.
