Is it just me or does nearly every profile on here seem really generic? Maybe it's just me and every single person likes someone who enjoys both nights out and quiet nights in, etc. I'll do my best to avoid that kind of profile and give some solid insight about me.
So let's see...I'm a physicist in the UofM Healthcare System. I'm not sure if that will win or lose me some points. It's definitely not where I thought I would end up but I enjoy the position and having a job where I'm part of a group that can really make a positive difference in people's lives when they need it the most. Not to mention I'm very grateful to have such a good job with the way things have been going these days.
I''m originally from northern Michigan so I'm definitely a country boy. I grew up spending nearly all my time outside and those kinds of things are still my favorite activities be it camping, white water rafting, fishing, biking, playing sports, or just running (which is my favorite). My friends and I are a bit of the all-American 'good ole boy' type.
The last few years I have done a really nice job neglecting my personal life because of working full time while going through graduate school and also trying to get some of my research papers published. Now that my career is a bit established and things are slowing down for me I'm really looking to buck that trend and place a solid effort on my personal life. I have always been a relationship kind of guy which I'm sure may be a bit hard to believe given that I'm a..well...male but it is true and that's definitely what I'm looking for. I want that close connection with someone where you know all of each other's little quarks. It would be really great to have that best friend kind of relationship and someone to spend time with after a long day.
