I grew up in Manhattan Beach, CA and I consider myself to be a fairly typical, but not stereotypical, Southern California guy. I like staying active and I love the beach, sand, and mountains. Oh and I do surf. For college, I decided I wanted to get a change of scenery and moved up to Washington. Living in Washington was tough, but it provided me with excellent life experience because I was living on my own, and having to adjust to a new way of life, which forced me to do a lot of growing up in a rather short period of time. All in all, it was a great learning/maturation experience for me. Upon graduating, I realized that I really missed the warm sun, sand, and water of Southern California so I moved back to LA. As for my personal life, I consider having a good group of fun-loving, down-to-earth people, be they friends or family members, as essential to my being happy. My family is a big part of my life. I come from a very close knit immediate and extended family. To give you an idea, during our tri-yearly massive extended family gatherings, everyone shows up, and I mean everyone. These gatherings are usually three days long and involve 35-50 people. Some of the usual activities include surfing, playing soccer or football on the beach, uber competitive games of scrabble, some intense business/political/philosophical debates, and just goofing off and laughing while enjoying each others company. If I had to list the traits that best describe me I would say that I am loyal, honest, intelligent, creative, inquisitive, have a great sense of humor, thoughtful, caring, and considerate. As can probably be expected, I consider it essential that the people, especially the woman, I have in my life to also exhibit many, if not all, of those qualities as well. I currently work for a rapidly growing tech company, based in Torrance, CA, where I help run the rewards commerce part of their business. I enjoy my job and am happy to be in a place where hard work is rewarded and new creative ideas are always welcome. It's a fun work environment. We have a pool table, which is always in use, and we play a bi-weekly intra-office pickup basketball game. In my free time, I try to spend as much of it keeping busy/social, as possible. After all, it’s not fun sitting home alone. I usually do this by hanging out with friends taking part in sports/activities (mainly for fun and exercise) and exploring new areas. For example, I enjoy race go-karts (I do so Wednesday nights with some buddies), surfing, and snowboarding, and playing most sports. I am also a certified SCUBA diver. On the more intellectual side of things, I am fascinated by and enjoy learning about pretty much all things related to science, history, and the world around me. I also like visiting museums and going to concerts on occasion. In addition, I also enjoy politics and good political/philosophical debates and am a certified SCUBA diver. On the more intellectual side of things, I am fascinated by and enjoy learning about pretty much all things related to science, history, and the world around me. I also like visiting museums and going to concerts on occasion. I should also mention that I am not a big partyer/bar hopper, but I do go out with friends on occasion. I do drink, but only in moderation and I never smoke. While I like staying active, I also enjoy taking it easy as well. My other interests/hobbies include reading books (just finishing the Steve Jobs biography), watching movies.TV shows, and playing video games,. So what I am looking for? I am looking for a woman who is kind, loyal, intelligent, honest, and has a good sense of humor. It's important that we can easily talk to one another and feel comfortable sharing our thoughts and feelings. After all, a relationship is a two way street and shouldn't revolve around only one person's interests and opinions. I hope that, over time, she become my best friend, confidant, and hopefully the love of my life.
