Are you Mr. Right? If so, I'm one lucky lady.
I tell my girl friends about this amazing man who makes me "smitten" --- your every girl's dream guy. Here's why:
...It poured last night, so we stayed in and watched a movie. We snuggled up, poured a glass of wine, and watched the Holiday. You think I didn't notice, but when I fell asleep, you turned the game on. I just smiled.
...My best friend wanted to go to the Honorable William Wall. You asked me what it is was and my description, "I don't know. She said some bar on the water." You threw on a pair of shorts and flip flops and called some friends. Somehow, we ended up with a bunch of people drinking and laughing in the sun. It was an amazing afternoon. Simple and totally different, but perfect.
...I texted you. "I think I'm getting sick." You suggested we grab a low key dinner. Even though I didn't want to, I knew you had a long work meeting with clients - I figured, I'll survive. When I came home to change quick, you grabbed soup, flowers, and vitamin C. A little note on the back of a powerball ticket said, "I didn't think someone who is sick should be out to dinner on a cold night."
...Sunday was the Patriots / Jets game. Even I knew the game would be a blowout, and the Jets wouldn't even cover, we went. Hoodies and jeans, a bunch of friends, and fun time trying not to freeze. Amazing Sunday, but even better when we walked out and said "I told you." (Don't forget, there is not much to watch at the gym at 5am, but ESPN does have a countdown. I might know more than you think.) Your going to love the birkum yoga session - we'll go early to get a space in front. ;)
...When it poured, you held the umbrella in one hand, and my hand in the other.
...When we grabbed a drink, you pulled the bar chair closer - making sure the guy on the other side knew I was taken.
...When you introduced me to your friends, you looked in my eyes and smiled, as if to say, your the one I have been telling all the guys in the office about.
....Last Saturday, we were: running the West Side Highway, sitting in the park for a concert and snacks, at brunch with friends, attempting to teach me tennis (I swear I'm getting better), watching you try to hide at a little pottery studio where we painted a vase, getting ready for a Kid Rock or Blake Shelton concert, cooking for a dinner party we were hosting, or taking a walk in the nice weather.
You're a great guy - I know! I said I was a lucky girl. :)
Most of all, I want a guy who adores me for me, likes the simple things in life, understands there needs to be a balance, makes the best out of every situation, values morals and his beliefs, supports and cherishes his family/friends, knows there will be rough times in life, but will always be there. A man who loves me in yoga pants and flats, jeans and a tank top, or stilettos and an open back dress - just me for me.
Why you "adore" me....that's easy!
...I grabbed your dry cleaning before I went to work. You're all set for the big meeting tomorrow.
...I heard you tell your Mom you love those cookies. I might have e-mailed her for the recipe. She sent it over. You knew the smell as soon as you walked in the door.
...The house was a mess from your boys poker night - you might never grow up. I ordered something from the deli for the afternoon and cleaned before your family stopped by when they were in town.
...I asked for a third time for the Christmas Card list. You scribbled five names down and their addresses. Figured it was the 5 guys that have families and asked for your address so their wife can send the family photo. We sent out a card from us. Yeah, its probably in the trash if he opens it first, but it was the thought that counts.
...the list is endless.
The real question --- Are you the man who makes me "smitten" and smile - Mr. Right. Is that you? That would make me smile.
