When I tell people I'm simple, they laugh. So even though I am simple in some things, like clothing or things to do with money; I'm not flashy, I don't need an expensive car, and I find spending $100 on a dinner for two CRAZY, in my thoughts and heart, I'm not so simple. I'm simply, not a simple minded person :). I think things through and pride myself on being educated. I care about people and animals deeply, but not so much about STUFF; I think life is about more than that. I try to be the best person I can. I sometimes fail, but even then I hope I can be a big enough person to admit it, and ask for forgiveness when necessary. I think I was born in the wrong time because I'm drawn to vintage things, classic style and beauty. I can still have a funky, earthy bohemian kick at times, but you can't fail with the classics. I see the women like Audrey Hepburn and strive to have that elegance and poise. This elegance and poise can sometimes be... masked, or eclipsed rather, by the latin girl in me. I am in love with and proud of my latin culture even if, as I recently wrote to someone, it can be rough around the edges. What does this mean for me? What effect does it have on my personality? Well, my hands are a huge part of any story (plates, cups... anything breakable beware) and you can actually gauge my excitement about something on the volume of my voice. It took me many years to develop and master my "inside voice". Even though it can get crazy, I love the story telling and laughs around some good lechon and congri that the holidays brings. My humor can be a little sarcastic, so if you're too sensitive, you may want to bail now. ;)
Seriously though, I believe a woman should inspire a man to be BETTER, and if she doesn't she's probably not the one. I want the timeless, inspirational love that has existed since the creation of the world and has inspired countless people to take risks, be reckless, write stories and songs. I believe that a woman should be pursued and won. I believe that love can conquer all things and I believe in what marriage used to be about before this microwave generation wanted things fast and easy. I believe people can stay in love for 50 years... not that its easy, it's just worth the effort.
I believe that there is a God that loves us and wants us to know him, and I believe that Jesus Christ is the way to do that. My family at church is a huge part of my life. Still, nothing I believe, follow, or choose to do with my life is done in "blind faith". As a science minded person, I believe I am very rational, and have rational beliefs. :)
