I recently moved to Houston from Austin 2 years ago and I am looking to network with others here. I am of course single, but I would entertain just getting to know others in the area who have similar interests as mine. I traveled 61 cities in 2 years for work so Houston doesn't scare me. Bring it on!!!
My friends would describe me as someone who is outgoing, friendly, and helpful. I value a natural style and relationships that are uncomplicated. I use to enjoy running with my Yellow Lab at Town Lake in Austin, but I can't take her to Memorial Park because she has bad knees now and it's hard for me to leave her every time at the door. However, I also enjoy working out, hiking, and traveling to different places and I am always open to trying new things as well.
Routine, in contrast, tends to have a paralyzing effect on me. I am very confident with both feet planted firmly on the ground and others can depend on me. I believe I give those people who are close to me security and space. I also believe in making other commitments outside of work and I expect nothing in return.
I take charge of my life, and place less faith in luck and more in my own deeds. I like to solve problems in a practical, uncomplicated manner. Most of all, I enjoy adding a little fun to everything I do in life.The most important characteristics I look for in someone are that they must be outgoing, caring, honest, and respectful. In addition, this person would be active in exercise and activates outside of work.
Don't get me wrong, I don't mind spending some time laying around on a dreary day watching TV. However, I do find it more enjoyable to be productive with my time. I am fortunate to be surrounded by great friends and I enjoy meeting new people and sharing life experiences and cultures.
