A Southern transplant that works in business, travels a bit for fun (U.S. and internationally), and enjoys a wide variety of concerts, Phils games and a night out at the bar or an evening in with good food. Speaking of food, although I went to undergrad here, I recently moved back after grad school and am slowly trying the many new entrants to the restaurant scene in places like Grad Hospital, Old City, and Queen's Village. My time away allowed me to travel around the world and I tried a variety of cultures’ cuisine in that time (Asia, Europe, and Puerto Rico) – next up are a few more places in Europe, Australia and New Zealand. The most recent trip was more local than that though when three of us took a three-week trip in June to go across the U.S. and down the West Coast right after finishing grad school. During that trip, we enjoyed the outdoors (camping, hiking, swimming), but also went out in cities along the way..
Now, life is about balancing my new career with life beyond work – I like to travel, ski, run, camp, and get involved in volunteer work.
You? Likely you have a dry or sarcastic sense of humor, goals, take care of yourself, and enjoy the Philadelphia scene, but you are also willing to take adventures beyond Philadelphia or U.S. borders. And being able to carry on a conversation – that’s key.
