Hard to write one of these without coming across as arrogant or, worse, dull. Can you really say “the essential thing you should know about me is that I’m cool”, without sounding a little ridiculous? Or, “I’m deeply into spirituality”, without conjuring up images of peyote-induced naked yoga in the desert with a shaman-du-jour?
What do I think is important...freedom, independence, honesty...good friends are loved..I like ellipses (j/k; sort of) ...economics and politics. I like sunshine. I like to read, most recently “The Forgotten Man” (history of the Great Depression), “Falling into Grace” (wise book; spiritual) and “An Empire of Their Own” (about the rise of Hollywood). Also like dancing around to kind electronica music. I like dogs (but don’t have one), friendly cats (but also don’t have one). I like wine, but think people talk way too much about it. Wine-tasting trips with a busload of friends...great! Talking about the cabernet’s faint chocolate nuance, peeking out behind a veil of strawberry; not so interesting. Fairly positive about most things, really, but think the teachings around non-attachment indicate the true source of happiness.
About me..I’m English, I'm bright and, I think, hilariously funny (well, funny). I like the sports Englishmen normally like, especially cricket. While on the face of it this may not seem to mind-meld us into life-long soul mates, it's actually great for you as I have no frat-boy friends needing to steal me away for sports-viewing every weekend to reconfirm that our Sigma Ki love never died.
You are beautiful, sexy, intelligent (very would be best), funny and gentle. Or, if my astrologer friend is to be trusted, you just have to be an Aries, Capricorn or Pisces (maaaybe Virgo)..;)
UPDATE: If you've made it this far, you deserve to know that I've just moved to Redlands, so, even if you're not feeling romantically inclined, but would be open to perhaps becoming friends, definitely drop me a line..;) However, if you checked "business networking" as one of your interests, this may not be a good fit...;)
