I also enjoy different kinds of foods (Yak momos anyone?). When dining out, I frequent restaurants that serve: Italian, French, Japanese, Indian, Thai, Chinese, Korean BBQ, Mexican, good old American.
I’m a big fan of motion pictures from different countries and time periods (I have over 450 DVDs in my library). Not only do films offer us insights into other cultures, I consider movies to be like time machines. They give us a glimpse of the world the way it once was, in decades long past. From silent films of the early 1900’s, to the latest Hollywood blockbuster, movies have much to offer us if we just know where to look. I especially enjoy older classic films. My Top 10 favorite movies are: The Best Years of our Lives (1946), Casablanca (1942), Sunset Blvd. (1950), Sunrise (1927), Roman Holiday (1953), Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939), The Maltese Falcon (1941), You Can’t Take it With You (1938), Rear Window (1950), and The Magnificent Seven (1960).
My favorite cable channels include: TCM, Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, History Channel and HBO. I enjoy watching: Breaking Bad, An Idiot Abroad, Louie, Anthony Bourdain, Ghost Adventures, Family Guy, River Monsters, Storage Wars, and most HBO original programming.
