I'm an easy going person, quiet but intense and someone of great passions and convictions. I'm a high school English teacher which suites me perfectly in how it allows those passions to shine through. Nearly everyday I'm savoring a line in poem, encouraging students to find the beauty in things that they would ordinarily disregard, and to try to inspire a greater view and awareness of humanity.
My spirituality is perahaps my most defining and sacred aspects to me. I believe life is a journey of challenge, learning and soul growth, and I am nearly always considering and pondering the all that is while walking in deep woods or along the shore. Basically I am always considering the lessons that we encounter in life and how we are so much more than we appear to be.
I do not have any foolish notions that I'm a monk. The tee shirt and jeans usually betrays those ideas. I'm still someone that appreciates a good beer, summer balls games at citi field, alt rock louder than the wind ripping through he open sunroof driving down ocean parkway. I stay fit through rock climbing with chalky hands, gasping between strokes of butterfly and freestyle, or trying to keep my balance and attention while in some odd yoga position.
A pisces through an through, I wear my heart on my sleeve and, more often than not, on notebook pages with pen in hand. I was a drama major in college and most recently have been trying my hand at photography.
