I am an outgoing and upbeat girl with a great laugh and an infectious smile. My friends would describe me as kind, genuine, resilient, passionate, and a little quirky. I am very close with my family who lives in NJ, adore my good friends (most are from college and here in DC), and love being an aunt to three little nieces and a nephew (they keep everything in perspective). I have a challenging and interesting job getting to cover and write about African political issues.
I find the world and other cultures and people endlessly fascinating and will pretty much travel just about anywhere on a moment's notice. I consider myself a perpetual student and love exploring what DC has to offer. I am equally happy trying out a new restaurant, going for a hike, or staying in and watching movies on the weekends.
I live a full and happy life and would love to share it with someone (oh and If you like football, it's a bonus).
PS- I have been vegetarian for most of my life-- declaring it at the age of 5 to my parents-- and frankly think it is annoying now (I think meat smells good, I just can't bring myself to eat out of habit) so don't worry about me caring you are a carnivore, eat away!
