I'm soft-spoken and humble with a gentle nature, but am confident in my own way. Originally from Ireland, I emigrated to the US almost 20 years ago, lived in New York and Chicago for a few years, but settled in the Bay Area about 12 years ago. I'm often pushing forward in some creative or constructive direction, but love my lazy days too. I'm easy going, relaxed and people say I have a very calming influence on them.
I love music and spend a lot of time exploring new stuff, from indie (The National, Spoon..) to classical; I've yet to get a taste for country or rap but am open to conversion attempts. I buy most of my music on vinyl; I like that it's so tactile and inconvenient..and there's a bit of romance to it.
I'm somewhat ambitious, with a nice product management job at one of those big tech companies you might use every day, though am taking a break from work during April and May. Also, I enjoy investing in wine as a kind of side gig - I'm quite the wine geek. I have an intellectual curiosity that drives me to explore new hobbies, interests and projects. I'm a bit of a nerd in many ways; I read a lot of non fiction - politics, history and biographies. I like the simple things in life, like playing with my cat or spending time with close friends, but also confess I'm drawn to some of the finer things in life.
Fitness is very importnat to me. I used to be a certified fitness instructor and I exercise at least one hour per day; running, pilates and lot of weight training. Yoga is my new thing which I love, or at least I love having done it ;-)
I watch an embarassingly large number of movies, shows and documentaries but am selective and most of my favorites are foreign.
I like a woman who is active, easy-going, fit, independent, genuine, fun-loving, reliable and trustworthy, values integrity and character; someone who is ‘together’, comfortable with the strengths she has, but knows her weaknesses too; confident but also a little sensitive, quirky and edgy... Shyness is good, just as long as still waters run deep.
