I am a dedicated, hard working guy living and working in the rolling hills of central PA. I believe that whatever you do, you should strive to do it the best that you can and always try to improve yourself. Every day I try to learn something new, or improve myself in some way. I set many goals for myself and I work hard to achieve them. Being self-sufficient, responsible, and making it on my own is important to me...self-government, I guess you could say, so I am confident in myself and my abilities. I work in education, so every day is a challenge, but I really do enjoy working with kids. Definitely a high energy job and stressful at times, but it's got its benefits too. I'm very family-oriented, with a large family on both sides, and we still get together for family events regularly.
I am all about fitness and being active and healthy. I love to be active, hate to be sedentary, and love the feeling of accomplishment that working out/running/playing sports brings. I love basketball, football, hockey, and especially running. The last few years, I've gone from coach potato to dedicated runner, with 2 marathons now under my belt. I'm always looking to push my limits and look for new challenges with my running. It's a very big part of my life for all the great benefits it brings. I really think that the better runner you are, the better person you become. Growing up in the Pittsburgh area with family very near to the city, I am a diehard Steelers and Penguins fan. My place is a true black and gold man cave.
My other interests include reading, traveling, food, American history, and movies. My favorite band is the Dropkick Murphys (reflecting my Irish heritage). My entertainment choices are rather geeky, which fits me perfectly. My favorite TV shows are The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Archer, The Venture Brothers. My favorite movies include Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, The Boondock Saints.
I'm looking for a girl who shares some of my interests, has a good job and her own place, is self-sufficient, has a good sense of humor and can be goofy and silly at times, but knows how to be serious when she needs to be too. She must be ready for a real relationship, with an eye towards the future. She should be into exercise and fitness, dedicated to looking good and feeling good too.
