Me: Employed. Sarcastic, but not annoyingly so. Slightly stubborn, but I can admit when I'm wrong. I like being active, but I also enjoy a quiet night at home sometimes. I like animals but I don't have any due to my schedule. Honest, open-minded, spontaneous, considerate, kind, iconoclastic. Quiet at first, but not after I know you. I don't place excessive faith in pop psychology personality tests, but my Myers-Briggs INTP description seems to be reasonably close to the mark.
Nietzsche was right about music, without it life wouldn't be worthwhile. I listen to a wide variety of music, and I go through phases where I listen to different genres, but at the moment my heavy rotation includes Film School, the National, Silversun Pickups, Metric, The Kills, VNV Nation, Wolf Parade, etc. I don't go out to shows as much as I used to, but still enjoy the occasional live venue.
I recently decided to take up a new hobby, stargazing. However I am finding it to be a bit frustrating due to the need for so many different conditions to converge for optimal viewing; low light-pollution, clear skies, no moon. I generally don't do things half-way, so I can't just go look up.
I read a meta-study on online dating recently which concluded that this medium leads people to focus excessively on negatives, which we use to disqualify our potential mates, even though we would never do so if we met them in person. In other words, it's probably best to just focus on meeting new people here, and seeing what happens from there. :)
