I am the type of man you can count on. The one that will care for you when your sick or will scratch/rub your back when you want me to. I will be your best friend and lover. I am a very strong believer in one man to one woman. My parents were married for 60 years and I am looking for a long relationship like my parents experienced.
I am a man that has opinions and I will need a partner that respects these opinions. If our opinions clash, we will need to agree that we disagree and move forward. No couple will agree on everything. The best you can hope for is the couple agrees more with each other than they disagree. My marriage, of 21 years, is being dissolved because of one disagreement. This is why I am writing so much about opinions - I don't want another relationship to dissolve because of a disagreement on an opinion.
I am a hard working Electrical Design Engineer and I will work long hours during the work week, but when the weekend comes I want to have fun with a loving/romantic partner that really really wants to be with me. The times we share together will need to include a lot of hugging, kissing, and laughing - you will have to want to be with your man and that man will have to be me.
I enjoy the fine and physical things in life like expensive dinners at fine restuarants, skiing in Colorado, hiking the Arizona Superstition Mountains, participating in the "Climb For Cancer" and "Walk For A Cure". Don't get me wrong, I get tired too and will enjoy a stay at home with a good movie or a vacation to the California beaches (Just to sit and watch the waves roll in).
I come from a traditional Italian family that I love with all my heart and soul, and I have a son in college that makes me very proud. You will have to repect and understand these family facts.
I am at a point in my life were I want to have some grown up fun. The way I see it I have about 20 more years of being capable of doing things (like hiking, skiing, scuba-diving, river rafting). Life is too short not to enjoy it - Lets go have some fun!!!!
I am looking for a woman that will fight for our relationship. Someone that believes no relationship is perfect and is always looking for the good in thier partner (instead of the bad). Also, she believes in the "forgive and FORGET" motto.
I need a woman that is fairly athletic but not a fanatic about athletics. She has to eat heathy and exercise to some extent. She has to love her body and care for her body.
She should realize that HONESTY is expected from both parties and (at times) that honesty can hurt. She realizes that a honest comment may just be an opinion and not a fact to be taken personally.
In closing, I loved being married and I hope to be again. However we will need to be good friends first.
