I'm outgoing, intelligent, creative, compassionate, and thoughtful. I am also a single mother of a beautiful baby boy and being a good parent is extremely important to me. I recently returned to my hometown to be closer to family and am currently working in my family's business, although in the near future I plan to relocate to a larger surrounding city. A few things about me… - I am a bit of a perfectionist, but with age, I am learning that there can be unexpected beauty in imperfection. - I loved the intellectual atmosphere of college. I enjoy literature and love falling into a good novel (when I have the time!). I also love history, particularly WWII, Holocaust, Vietnam War, and Women’s History. - I love music and I believe that it enhances any and all atmospheres. I enjoy listening to almost anything, except country, and every once in a while I can even enjoy that. - I recently joined a gym and am surprised by how much I enjoy going, particularly attending pilates, piloxing, and spinning classes. - I take pride in my appearance and I am looking for someone who feels the same way about themselves. At the same time, what is on the inside far surpasses the importance of the exterior. As for what I am looking for… I have had some bad experiences with relationships in the past, but I refuse to let those experiences define my future. From those experiences, I have learned what I am *not* looking for and they have helped me better define what I *am* looking for. I want to spend my time with someone who: - is intelligent, open minded and passionate about life - has goals and dreams, someone who can work hard, but play hard as well - likes children and has a desire to have his own one day - enjoys the little things in life as much as the big things - has a great sense of humor and loves to laugh (it does a body and soul good!) If you would have asked me five years ago where I would be in my life, I would never have guessed I would be where I am now, but with that being said, I think that Marilyn Monroe said it best when she said, "I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you can appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together."
