I've let my friends try to write an "about me" statement for the last two hours. I think they over-thought everything, so here is my best shot: I'm an unpretentious and relaxed guy. I tend to come across as shy, but my friends know that I am simply soft spoken. Rather than write about what I'd like to do, I've decided to write about what I have actually done over the last few days. This was a long holiday weekend. I drove to the Austin area to spend time with family. I saw a small town rodeo, cleared brush, swam in the river, and played baseball with my seven year old cousin (he's quite proud that he was able to hit my "heater"). After coming back to town, I spent the day cooking and hanging out with friends.
For a guy that doesn't MySpace/Facebook/Twitter, this online thing takes getting used to. I don't know if it will work out, but if I meet someone that is compassionate, humble, and values family, faith, and friends, it will be worth it.
